Key Parties: they are real, but not common
In a traditional key party, the women throw their keys in a pot. Each man then draws one set of keys, holds it up, and the woman in question identifies herself. The two then depart from the party to spend a wild evening or the whole night fucking their brains out.
Tiffany and I have been to a couple of dozen or more of these over 30 years. The group we are in now sometimes does it just for variety (something different).
There are variations, such as using hotel keys, or the man's keys (the women draw), or nametags, or numbered tokens.
Sometimes the man goes to the woman's home, or the woman goes to the man's home. Sometimes a couple going to such a party doesn't want to bring anyone to their home and arranges for another location.
Sometimes there are spare males at the party and some of the women might draw two or more keys. Sometimes it's a multiple partner party (where each woman brings 2-4 men) and she draws as many as the number of men she brought.
Most of the time you know it's a key party before you go. Sometimes at a swinger meet and greet where the intention is to pair off anyway, someone will suggest that anyone who hasn't picked a partner already should take part in a key lottery. Sometimes a couple at the party chickened out and left with each other.
One club we met at had their parties at a motel owned by a group leader on nights that the place wasn't full. Everybody met in the ballroom to dance and chat. On key party nights, the women would draw a key from one tub and go to the assigned room, then the men would draw from the duplicate set of keys and you didn't know until you opened the door which woman you were going to fuck. Once you were done (or found your own wife and decided not to have sex) the man went back to the ballroom and might wait there for a minute or two or an hour or two and then draw another key. Sometimes the woman just wanted to do a single and would keep the second key. Sometimes the woman wanted to get a snack and took both keys back to the ball room, sampled the buffet, then threw one of her keys back into the men's pot and used her own key to return to the room. Most of the parties went all night and into the next morning and I can remember waking up at 3am, kissing the woman next to me, and going back to the lobby to get another key and send her another cock.
