This is a performance poem. About how I used to, as a kid, lay under the canopy and paint the sky.

Staring at the midnight sky
I knew dawn was only hours away
For the sky was my canvas
And my imagination the paintbrush
The vivacious sky held no hope for me
I rose to my feet and silently walked home
Treading along the narrow corridor of the past
