I read this story once on a website, only to be disappointed when I returned to the site to found it had been deleted. I decided to rewrite it to the best of my ability from memory. While the unknown author did not write the version you're about to read, the story idea belongs to them. Hopefully you all enjoy this story as much as I did. SUMMER 1995 - RICHMOND, VIRGINIA
It was somewhat early in the morning, around 7 am and I was downstairs trying to sneak coffee up to my bedroom. It was then that the kitchen phone rang.
