2018-08-10 18:21:54 What Kind of Erotic Writer are You? This was a great article and you've given novice, as well as more experienced writers, a lot to think about.

To answer your question... I started writing as a form of therapy. Then, it turned into something I really enjoyed, once I got better at it.

My motivation... I love that people can identify with my writing and it turns me on knowing it turns them on.

To share our experiences and our fantasies is really what The Human Experience is all about, right?

I don't want to take anything away from this excellent article, but permit me to pass along some advice that was given to me when I first started writing.

1. Write about what you know or do a lot of research if you're writing about things you don't. The more believable your story is, the better your reader will identify with it.

2. Lots and lots of dialogue. Monologue puts people to sleep, dialogue will keep them interested.

3. Sex is sex and none of us can reinvent the wheel. If your reader can identify with your characters, they'll be more likely to enjoy reading about the sex they have.

4. If you're serious about your writing, get an editor. They'll see things in your writing that you don't, and that that will help you improve.

Again, excellent article. You've done an invaluable service to everyone on this site.
