Revamped Broken Isles map for our World of Warcraft D&D campaign. Was made using Wonderdraft based on the existing Broken Isles maps, though some things have been adjusted based on our game because we are AU. We wanted something that had all the areas actually listed with cities closer in size to what they'd be on an actual map (looking at you Suramar xD)
Day #130 of things I love about WoW:
Places that are one of a kind. I love when we get things like the Boralus hedge maze, goblin golf resort, or the school in Suramar because there's hardly anywhere else like them in the game.
I thought about how Frazzle would dress in a hotter climate, so I just did the Bigsnax DLC outfits because I feel like it'd be humid af and they'd sweat half to death if they wore their sweater and hat
Bonus: The theys are fighting
back on my godamned suramar bullshit!
Just enjoying a nice balloon ride in Highmountain!

nktober: Day 28-I've given up on naming my drawings at this point! 🤣 I'm really happy with how this one turned out! I started out just drawing Illidan and Khadgar. But then I thought it would look really cool if I put the Tomb of Sargeras in the background! The portal gave me another source for dramatic lighting, so I think that was a good call!
imagine during the third book where percy gets his final recommendation letter. he is approached by a god or goddess who asks him to reconcile past relationships. because to move forward, you can't let the things of the past hold you back. so percy gets closure with the side characters from the pjo og series. clarisse, nico, thalia, and rachel. and it just gets progressively more intimate until he has to confront one final person: the ghost of luke castellan.
not sure if anyone was actually expecting me to not post about suramar
Is it too much to ask for one of those "it's a wonderful life" type things where Luz gets to see a timeline where she never came to the Boiling Isles
How about, for the Bugsnax DLC boss... Unlike every other boss follower, the Cheddorbs don't seem to actually need the Cheddboardle Rex to exist. There's one rolling around the island as soon as you open the way for Triffany and Shelda. You even have to catch it to get as far as the boss battle.
And the Cheddaboardle Rex could just throw rocks at you forever and you'd never be able to fight back. It's only when it throws living beings at you that you can turn them back on it and hurt it.
The Stone Grumps would apparently appease the Bugsnax by throwing people into the pit in the temple, which eventually backfired and destroyed them when the Bugsnax gave one of the sacrifices superpowers instead. So thematically, the Cheddorbs are the sacrifices. They don't need the Cheddaboardle, but the Cheddaboardle needs them.
Also, Cheddaboardle Rex is based on a dung beetle, which rolls dung balls as a food source for either itself or its young. What do Bugsnax eat?
Also also, dung beetles are linked to rebirth in Ancient Egyptian mythology. That might not seem relevant, but the temple has a picture of a Cheddaboardle Rex holding up a Cheddorb that looks a lot like depictions of the scarab god Khepri holding up the sun. So the game does invoke at least some Ancient Egyptian symbolism for the Cheddaboardle Rex.
Is that anything?
